Abstract: Students already involved in a research program with their advisor are invited to present their own research. For others, the topics will be in and around functional programming, type theory, type checking, type inference, and/or theorem proving. Ideally, students will do some implementation work to make concrete ideas presented in their talks. Also, students will be expected to submit a 6 page paper on the topic of their talk. This paper will be formatetd in LaTeX, the standard for Computer Science research papers.
Grading and Other Policies: Grades will be based on a class
presentation (50%), the paper (40%), and attendance at the other
student talks (10%).
Recommended Papers: Coming soon ... a more complete list of research papers to select from.
