Why Comments Are No Longer Allowed
Few enough (< 1?) people read this blog, so there is very little comment activity in it, only one legitimate comment over two years. Nevertheless, I receive a comment submission at least once a week from various SPAM sources. This is no problem–I just disapprove the submitted comment and get on with my life. But recently, I have noticed a sharp increase in the number of SPAM comment requests, possibly as a result of my tracking back to a post of Pamela Gay’s. I’ve been getting up to ten requests per day! So I am disallowing comments in my blog, at least for a while. If you feel you want to comment on something I say, use the trackback mechanism instead. That is still allowed (until the SPAM monsters figure out how to do that….)
